How Is Your Relationship To Pleasure?

Something that I work on with my clients is their relationship to pleasure, yes RELATIONSHIP. I remember when I started my journey with pleasure, I thought it would be a one stop shop, I did the classes, the work, BOOM- I am done, right? Umm well, luckily the journey was just at the beginning. Even though it is tempting to just check pleasure off your to do list, and say bibbidi- bobbidi- BOO, it’s a relationship, and a relationship worth cultivating.

Something that I personally had to work through and that I have helped countless clients work on is understanding that because pleasure is a relationship, it will be always evolving and that’s a GREAT thing. For a long time, I was holding on to this story and making myself wrong. I was beating myself up because I was comparing and pinning different seasons of my life against each other. I was comparing suburban slowed down married life to single city life. The beauty that I found was that I want to look back at my life and say YES! I have experienced and lived through different seasons, cycles, textures and more. With that freedom, I wasn’t chained to feeling I can only play with one pleasure note. Because here is the thing, pain has a finite cap, we can only experience so much pain. But pleasure, Mamma Mia! That bad boy is an endless journey and adventure.

The tragedy about this reality is so many people don’t even scratch the surface to their relationship to pleasure and there is an ABUNDANT and juicy world ahead of them. Why is it important to have this relationship? Well beyond the obvious of it feeling great, pleasure is a healing and soothing balm. Nervous system regulation, speaking for your wants, honoring your body, being embodied, deep confidence, a sense of aliveness, cultivating and living from a place of inner peace as if you just left the best yoga retreat and more. As an anxious girlie, my relationship to pleasure genuinely soothed so much of my anxiety and dug into places where I never got to in therapy.

I know, I know. I can hear you saying this is cute, Erica, but is it really a need? a necessity? a priority? I have been there, I had those thoughts too. I thought focusing on expanding my pleasure relationship was frivolous, unnecessary, self indulgent, foolish and more. What made me dive fully in was knowing I wanted more from life. I remember saying “everything’s good, but I want to feel more alive, be in my radiance, be present. I want to be the best version of myself for me, my family and loved ones.” and when I dived in, that’s exactly what I got.

So I get it, the first step into really prioritizing your pleasure is one that is easily dismissed. But if you are craving more joy, more self regulation, more confidence, living life with all the colors, let’s chat. I am your person if you want to get out of your head and into your body. If you are ready to release trauma or blocks you have around intimacy, dating, joy and more. If you have a vision for what you would like your life to look like, and currently, it just doesn’t match. If you want to feel less self conscious and more powerful in your life. If you want to let go of the judgements you hold towards yourself and your body and you are ready to step into a genuine place of self love. If you want to take the mundane and numb pieces of your life and flip them on their heads, creating a life full of pleasure, radiance, and joy.

I am currently taking on just a small handful of clients that really want to commit to changing their lives. Seekers who want to have more spirituality, fun, magic, confidence, self love, juicy partnership and more. If that is you, let’s chat. I offer a free intro call as a way to get a tasting of me and my work. In this call we do a mini session so you leave with tools and resources. If we happen to be a fit to work 1:1 together on a longer basis, we will go over the logistics about working together. If you are wanting to grab that intro call, be sure to book that HERE or reply to this message and we will get you on the books. Because life is SOOO much brighter when we shine 😍✨

Hope to see you there!

XOXO
